Amblans-et-Velotte

Amblans -et- Velotte is a commune in Haute -Saône in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Amblans -et- Velotte situated at an altitude of 305 m above sea level, 7 km west of Lure and about 20 km east-northeast of the town of Vesoul (air line). The village is located in the central part of the department, on the western edge of the plain of Lure, north of the lowlands of Razou.

The area of ​​9.76 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the level of Lure. The Floodplain on the edge of the Vosges is on average 300 m. The southern boundary runs in the lowlands of Razou, which provides for the drainage to the east of the Reigne to Ognon. The Talniederung has a width of approximately one kilometer, is located at about 290 m and is partly marshy partly passed with riparian forest.

History

The area of Amblans -et- Velotte was inhabited very early, which remains and foundations of Gallo-Roman country houses testify.
