Amy Acker
Amy Louise Acker ( born December 5, 1976 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American actress. It was especially for her role in the television series Angel - known hunter of darkness.
Life and career
Field is the daughter of a lawyer. She has three younger siblings. Acker studied acting for three years at Southern Methodist University and received her degree there in 1999. She also starred in plays.
In 2001, she first appeared in the series Angel - Hunters of darkness into the role of Winifred "Fred" Burkle, one in a medieval demon dimension captured, highly intelligent student who is rescued by Angel and his team and in the further course of the series is an important collaborator.
2003 Acker won a Saturn Award, for her, as the award to Alyson Hannigan was in 2002, and was nominated in 2005. In 2002, she appeared in a supporting role in the Steven Spielberg film Catch Me If You Can with.
After the end of Angel - Hunters of darkness Acker worked in various other series and smaller film productions. She said the role of Huntress in several episodes of the animated series Justice League and was in the fifth and final season of Alias - to see the agent in the role of Kelly Peyton. In 2008 she was Joss Whedon's new series for Dollhouse committed in which they played the role of Dr. Claire Saunders for thirteen episodes. This was followed by a starring role in the ABC drama series Happy Town, but which included only eight episodes.
Acker is married to fellow actor James Carpinello since 2003. The two have a son since 2005 and, since 1 September 2006, a daughter.
