Anacleto Jiménez

Anacleto Jiménez ( Anacleto Jiménez Pastor, born February 24, 1967 in Logroño ) is a retired Spanish long-distance runner.

In 1987, he won gold at the Universiade over 5000 m. In the Indoor Athletics European Championships, he was more than 3000 m in 1988 in Budapest eighth and seventh in Seville in 1992.

In 1994 he was fourth at the European Indoor Championships in Paris about 3000 m and eighth at the European Championships in Helsinki over 5000 m. In 1995 he won silver over 3,000 m at the World Indoor Championships in Barcelona and came over 5000 meters at the World Championships in Gothenburg on the 13th Place. The following year, he won over 3000 meters gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in Stockholm, reaching over 5000 m at the Olympic Games in Atlanta in the semifinals. At the World Championships in Athens, he was eliminated in the flow.

At the World Cross Country Championships he finished 1998 ranked 30th in Marrakech and 2001 in Oostende Rank 68

Twice he was Spanish Champion over 5000 m (1994, 1996). In the hall he took from 1994 to 1996 three times in a row the title over 3000 m.
