Andrea Mantovani

Andrea Mantovani ( born June 22, 1984 in Turin ) is an Italian footballer who is since the summer of 2013 at FC Bologna under contract. His preferred position is central defense, but can also be used as a left defender.

Career

Mantovani began his career at Torino where he belonged to the senior squad in 2002. On 19 January 2003, he performed his first mission in Serie A, as he came off the bench in the game against Como Calcio. By the end of the season he came to seven other missions, but could not avoid relegation to Serie B. For the 2003/ 04 season he was loaned out to league rival U.S. Triestina. For the season 2004 /05 he returned to Torino, but left the club after a year because of Torino scored despite sporting climb a license for the Serie A.

Mantovani joined the AC Chievo Verona, which he finished in seventh place in the Serie A in the 2005/06 season. Due to the scandal involving Juventus Chievo Verona reached even fourth place, thus qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. There, however, it failed to Levski Sofia, so that 2006/ 07 in the UEFA Cup took part, where the club was eliminated in the first round against Sporting Braga. In the season 2006/ 07 Chievo Verona got off to Serie B, but returned after only one year back in Serie A.

In summer 2011, Mantovani Chievo left after six years and moved within the Serie A U.S. Palermo.

National

Mantovani came for all Italian junior national teams to use and was established in 2003 Under-19 European Championship.
