Andreas Bjelland

Andreas Bjelland ( born July 11, 1988 in Vedbæk ) is a Danish footballer who plays for FC Twente since 2012.

Association

Youth and early career

Andreas Bjelland started his career with his hometown club BK Søllerød - Vedbæken and then played in the youth of Lyngby BK. In the 2007 /08 season he came into the professional team and signed a professional contract.

His debut in the Superligæn, the Danish first division, he was on the opening day on July 25, 2007, when he against Odense BK came in a 1-1 draw and was also used in the starting lineup. Bjelland played games for the U-16, U-18 and U-19 national teams in his country. He is captain of the U- 21 team in Denmark. On 17 November 2010 he played his first senior international for Denmark against the Czech Republic. A year later he was also used twice in qualifying for the 2012 European Football Championship and the end of May 2012, he was included in the European Championship squad.
