Andreja Mali

Andreja Mali ( born November 17, 1977 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian biathlete and cross-country skier former.

Andreja Mali from TSK Jub Dob Prii Ljubljani operates since 2000 and since then Biathlon is also part of the Slovenian national team. The instructor in the military from Kamnik debuted in 2001 at a sprint ( 49 ) in the Biathlon World Cup. In her first season, she was able to reach first the points in any race, but was the highlight of the season for Slovenian squad of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. Here they achieved their best so far rankings in individual races in Sprint ( 27 ) and tracking ( 32 ). In the next season, she belonged to the advanced world class and could reach several first-class results. So she was in Pokljuka Sprint Eighth, as in Oslo at Holmenkollen. Since 2003, Mali took part in multiple Biathlon World Championships. Especially well it ran at the Biathlon World Championships 2004 in Oberhof, where she was 14th in singles and 18th in the mass start. Also quite well ran the Biathlon World Championships 2007 in Antholz. Here she was 16 in the pursuit and fourth in the women's relay. In 2006, she again took part in the Olympic Games. In individual she was 21, with the Sixth Season. In 2010 started Andreja Mali at the Winter Olympics. In Vancouver, her best result was the 19th place in the individual. With the season she was ranked eighth In the Biathlon World Championships 2012 in Ruhpolding, she won with the Slovenian mixed relay silver medal.

Originally Mali comes from cross-country skiing. Here she contested since 1995 ( 52nd place with a 5 - kilometer race in Davos ) World Cup races. Particularly successful it is as a sprinter.
