Annie Golden

Annie Golden ( * October 19, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York) is an American actress, singer and composer.

Life

Annie Golden was in the 1970s and at the beginning of the 1980s, the singer of the band The Shirts. 1990, it came under the name Golden Carillo to collaborate with the singer-songwriter Frank Carillo. The duo released three LPs: " Fire in Newtown ", " Toxic Emotion" and " Back for More". The first two albums were also successful in Europe. The song " Waiting For Someone" by A. Golden and F. Carillo was for the soundtrack of the film "Body Switch - A Haunted Kisses " (1992 ) was used. She made her debut as a film actress in the film Hair ( 1979), in which she starred alongside John Savage, Treat Williams and Beverly D' Angelo. In the film Strictly Business (1991 ) she starred opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Halle Berry, in the film It Runs in the Family ( 2003) opposite Michael Douglas and Kirk Douglas. She was also seen in some episodes of the TV series Cheers, Miami Vice and Third Watch.

She starred on Broadway in numerous plays and musicals such as Hair, Ah, Wilderness! , On the Town and The Full Monty. For her role in the play The Full Monty was nominated for a Tony Award. In 2006, she starred opposite Eartha Kitt on in the musical Mimi Le Duck.

As a composer, Golden wrote the song Hang Up the Phone for the film Sixteen Candles ( 1984) and produced the music for the 2005 film comedy Tom and Francie, in which they took over one of the main roles.
