Arkansas Tech University

The Arkansas Tech University is a public university in Russellville in the north of the U.S. state of Arkansas. At the University of 7480 students are enrolled. To the university includes a branch office in Ozark.

History

The University was founded in 1909 as the Second District Agricultural School and renamed in 1925 in Arkansas Polytechnic College. It was given its present name in 1976. 2004 the Arkansas Valley Technical Institute was transformed into a branch of the Ozark in Arkansas Tech University.

Sports

The sports teams of the UAM, the Wonder Boys (men) and Golden Suns ( women). The University is a member of the Gulf South Conference.
