Arnaud Malherbe

Arnaud Malherbe ( born November 20, 1972) is a former South African sprinter.

In the 400 -meter run, he participated in three World Athletics Championships and two Olympic Games between 1995 and 2000. Except for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, where he already retired in the first round, he always reached the quarter-final round. In addition, he was from 1996 to 1999 four consecutive South African champion over this distance.

Malherbes biggest international success was winning the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meters relay at the IAAF 1999 World Championships in Seville. The South African team had in the lineup Jopie van Oudtshoorn, Hendrick Mokganyetsi, Adriaan Botha and Arnaud Malherbe min while reaching the target in national record time of 3:00,20 just as the fourth. Originally victorious American squadron was however disqualified for a doping offense runner Antonio Pettigrew her, so that the South African quartet aufrückte one rank in the standings.

Arnaud Malherbe is 1,87 m tall and had a competition weight of 69 kg.
