Áron Szilágyi

Áron Szilágyi ( born January 14, 1990 in Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian saber fencer and Olympic champion.

Life

Szilágyi began at the age of ten years with fencing. In 2009, he put on Mihály Fazekas High School in Budapest from his high school. Subsequently, the 1.80 meter tall athletes studied International Relations at the Eötvös Loránd University ( ELTE ). He was initially trained by György Gerevich, after his death in 2008, then by Béla Somlai. Szilágyi belongs to the Budapest sports club Vasas SC.

Achievements

He participated in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in part, finishing in seventh place with the team and the fifteenth place in the individual. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, he was Olympic champion in saber fencing, the 2008 winners Zhong Man he defeated in the second round 15:10.
