Ioannis Georgiadis

Ioannis Georgiadis (Greek Ιωάννης Γεωργιάδης, born March 29, 1876 in Tripoli, † March 14, 1960 ) was a Greek fencer.

Georgiadis participated in the first modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896 and won the competition in saber fencing. In the unofficial interludes 1906 in Athens, he was again able to win the saber in single and top with the Greek saber team place behind the German selection.

Georgiadis was later professor of forensics, founded the morgue of Athens and worked for the national krimonologische laboratory. From 1918 to 1936 he was ( intermittently ) the Board of the Greek National Olympic Committees to.
