Augsburg–Welden railway

The railway line Neusaess - Welden, also called Weldenbahn, led by Bavaria, more by Welden. The branch line was classified through single track and as a side alley. They branched first from the old Neusässer station from the main line Augsburg- Ulm. History

The Royal Bavarian State Railways opened the Neusaess from originally 19.2 km long route on December 5, 1903; all trains began and ended in the Augsburg Central Station where the chainage had its zero point. Between 1929 and 1933 the main route Augsburg- Ulm was realigned west of Augsburg -Oberhausen in the course of electrification, which is also the branch of Weldenbahn shifted slightly to the north. From the operational separation at 4,633 kilometers, the two grades form but also in the further course of a structural unit. The trains of after Welden drove it from now on between the two tracks of the main line to the new breakpoint Neusaess before a few hundred meters further on the previous line was reached. Since 1949, parallel to the railway line was a railway bus connection from Augsburg to Welden.
