Avia BH-29

The Avia BH -29 is a Czechoslovakian biplane trainer from the year 1927. The aircraft was designed by Pavel Beneš and Miroslav Hajn.

Construction

The Czechoslovak Air Force and the airline ČLS needed a beginners training aircraft. According to Beneš and Hajn constructed the einstieligen biplane of unequal span. The BH -29 was a wooden structure with a plywood coating for the hull and a fabric covering for the other surfaces. As a beginner training aircraft it had a robust, breitspuriges chassis. Flight instructors and students sat in an open cockpit tandem.

Only a few copies were built, although the captain Hamšk 1928 with one of the two prototypes made ​​a promotional trip through 18 European countries.
