The wings were connected by two struts on the top with the fuselage sides. She was equipped with an Anzani radial engine.

The first flight of the type was held in 1923. Flown was the BH- 5 of Zdenék Lhota. She received due to their identifier L- BOSA the nickname " Boska ". In an international sport aircraft competition in Belgium Lhota attracted to the unusual at this time monoplane quite a stir. The success of the pattern established the now again two-seat successor series BH -9, BH -11 and BH -12, which were built in series and were both in the civilian sector and the military used.
