Avianca Peru

TACA Perú is a Peruvian airline based in Lima. It is a subsidiary of TACA International Airways and also uses the corporate identity of the parent company. It will fly domestic and international destinations. Your hub is the Lima airport.

History

TACA Perú was founded in 1999 by Daniel Ratti and Ernesto Mahle as TransAm and began operations in July 1999. The name was changed in 2001, TACA Perú, as the Grupo TACA acquired a minority stake. TACA Perú is 51 % owned by Daniel Ratti and 49% of Grupo TACA.

By mid-2013 the company was renamed as part of the merger of their respective owners in the unified brand Avianca.

Fleet

As of August 2013 the fleet of TACA Perú consists of nine aircraft:

  • 2 Airbus A319 -100
  • 4 Airbus A320 -200
  • 2 Airbus A321 -200
  • 1 Airbus A330 -200

The Airbus A320 family are operated by the parent company and the TACA Airbus A330 -200 by Avianca.
