Ayako Shoda

Ayako Shoda (Japanese正 田 绚 子, Ayako Shoda, born November 3, 1981) is a Japanese wrestler. She was in her career so far four times world champion.

Career

Ayako Shoda began at the age of 6 years in 1987 with the rings. Thanks to the coach Ryo Kanehama, Osama Yoshioka, Kazuhito Mimura and Kazuhito Sakae they quickly became a wrestler of international standing. The 1.63 meter tall athlete attended the University of Tokyo. She is now (as of 2011) teacher and a member of the wrestling clubs in the amino High School in amino -chō, Kyotango.

In 1998 she was first Japanese champion in the weight category to 58 kg. In the same year she won at the Junior World Championships in Norway Fredrikstad in the same weight class 3rd place. In 1999, she won then their first league title in international championships. First she was in Bucharest in the weight class up to 63 kg Junior World Champion, where she won against Anita Schätzle from Germany in the final. In Hildursborg / Sweden it was also world champion in the women in the weight category to 62 kg.
