Aziz Behich

Behich in use for the U-23 National Team (2011)

Aziz Behich ( born December 16, 1990 in Melbourne) is an Australian football player of Turkish descent.

Club career

Aziz Behich played in adults range from 2008 initially in the Victorian Premier League ( VPL ) for his youth club Green Gully SC, before he was accepted at the end of the season for the newly created National Youth League in the youth team of Melbourne Victory. There he met regularly in the following two seasons to use and made his debut on 16 January 2010 by a 6-2 win against Perth Glory for the first team in the A-League. By the end of the season he came on as a substitute to four other missions, including in the Grand Final against Sydney FC, who lost on penalties. Subsequently, he was also at the AFC Champions League 2010 in the squad, but did not play and was on the end of the season out a new contract. As a result Behich played briefly for Hume City in the VPL before moving to a trial with newly formed A- League club Melbourne Heart has signed a short-term contract as a replacement for the injured Kristian Sarkies in July 2010. Up to this point Behich acted mainly as a striker, according to a sending-off of left full-back Dean Heffernan Behich of coach John van ' t was SCHIP retreated to his position and was able to convince there so that he firmly sat on this position and received a long-term contract.

His performance in the subsequent period led by the award for Young Player of the Month in January 2011, a nomination for the Harry Kewell Medal as U-23 Player of the Year and the appointment to the PFA Team of the Year 2011 /12. In January 2013 joined Behich after 65 league appearances for Melbourne Heart to the Turkish first division side Bursaspor and signed a contract until mid- 2016. After he came in the second half at Bursaspor only to a league use, he returned to the 2013/14 season back on loan to Melbourne Heart.

National

At his first appointment in an Australian country selection Behich came in June 2011 when he was nominated for the U-23 team against Japan. As a result, he came several times as part of the qualification for the 2012 Olympics used, but the Australian team failed in the final qualifying round, after it had remained in all six games without a goal. In November 2012 Behichs followed debut in the Australian senior team when he was brought on by National coach Holger Osieck in the friendly against South Korea. In December he took part with a large part consisting of players from the A-League selection at the qualifying tournament for the East Asia Championship in 2013 and scored a 8-0 victory against Taiwan 's first two goals for the senior team.
