Baar, Swabia

Baar ( Schwaben) is a municipality in the Swabian district Aichach -Friedberg and a member of the administrative community Pottmes.

Community structure

There are the following districts: Heimpersdorf, Oberbaar and Unterbaar. Other districts is the hamlet of Lech Ling cell and the wastelands Oberperlmühle, Unterperlmühle and Dürnberg. On Baarer municipality, on the road to Thierhaupten, the small chapel Maria is in misery.

History

On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent municipalities were merged into lower and upper Baar Baar to the new community (Schwaben ). The new municipality was part of the district of Neuburg on the Danube and was the district of Augsburg - West slammed 1 July 1972 in the wake of the district reform in Bavaria ( on May 1, 1973 Change of name to the district of Augsburg ). On 1 May 1978, the community was incorporated into Thierhaupten. The struggle of the community residents led on 1 January 1994 for the recovery of municipal autonomy. Heimpersdorf moved on the same day of Thierhaupten to the new community. Since then Baar belongs to the administrative community Pottmes in Aichach- Friedberg.

The council is composed of the first mayor, the honorary mayor and second eleven local councils.

Economy

Richest history operation is the Castle Brewery Unterbaar ( since 1608 ). Larger employers are also the Bärbel Drexel GmbH and engineering Angerer K.

The coat of arms description reads: By a silver oblique wave beams divided by black and blue. Above, a red -winning and rotbezungter golden lion's head, down three golden stars.
