Bahamas national football team
The Bahamian national football team is the national football team of the Caribbean island nation of Bahamas. It is one of the worst teams of the CONCACAF continental federation. So far, it's the team not been able to qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup or the Football World Cup.
World Cup Qualifiers
As part of the qualification for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, the team met in the first round of the CONCACAF region to the national team of the British Virgin Islands. The first leg ended 1-1. In the return match, the team achieved a 2-2 draw. Both games were held in Nassau ( Bahamas). Due to the higher number of away goals, the Bahamas were thus able to move into the second round. There they parted with two significant defeats ( 0:6 in Home and 0:7 in the away game ) against Jamaica.
