Bahçesaray ( Turkish for Garden Palace, Armenian Մոկս Mok, kurd. Mikis or Miks ) is a town and a district in Turkey. It belongs to the province of Van in eastern Anatolia and lies. Bahçesaray located in the southwest of the province and borders the provinces of Bitlis and Siirt. The district has 17,491 inhabitants Bahçesaray, the city 3,287 (as of 2011 ). In addition to the county town, there are 19 villages in Bahçesaray.

The Kurdish place name is a variant of the original Armenian toponym.
