The Balikesir Airport ( Turkish Havaalanı Balıkesir ) is a Turkish airport near the city of Balıkesir. It is operated by the State DHMI.

The airport was established in 1998 put into use and is currently open for the military and civil aviation. After its opening, it was used mixed civil and military, but the operating company closed the airport for civil aviation in 2001 and opened it on 26 February 2007 again for civil aviation. He has one terminal with a capacity of 100,000 passengers a year and a paved airstrip, but no instrument flight landing system (ILS ) has. For the military operation, there are numerous hangars and military installations.

The associated therewith City Balıkesir is about 5 kilometers away. They can be reached by taxi or private car.

Although the airport is officially opened for civil aviation, that is not being serviced regularly scheduled service.
