  • Six ballots ( from Brazil, France, Lithuania, Paraguay, Portugal and Switzerland ) even contained all five best overall, but none of these jurors brought these players in the right order.
  • The Bosnian jury voted against the mainstream: behind Ibrahimović Inzaghi, Rooney and Ribery set them as single of the overall Top 5 Drogba in fifth; to twelve additional ballots to only two of the five overall best found again.
  • Three of the four non-playing this year in Europe footballers were different than 15 other candidates, each called on at least one ballot: The one point received Ceni from Argentina, El Salvador and Colombia, Mahmoud from Egypt and Azerbaijan and Ochoa from Mexico. Only Beckham was left empty.
