Bartošovice v Orlických horách

Bartosovice Orlické Mountains ( German Batzdorf ) is a municipality in Okres Rychnov nad Kněžnou in East Bohemia. It is located in the extreme southeast of the Eagle Mountains and is reached via the main highway 311, which begins Žamberka and further runs in a north -westerly direction along the right bank of the Wild Eagle from Bartosovice.

Geography

Bartosovice located on both sides of Aubachs ( Bartošovický creek ) in a tributary of the Wild eagles on the border with Poland. Neighboring towns are Vrchní Orlice ( High Erlitz ) in the north, České Petrovice ( Bohemian Petersdorf ) in the southeast, Klášterec nad Orlicí in the south, Bubnov ( Bubenetz ) and Zaječiny ( Hasendorf ) in the southwest, Rokytnice Orlické Mountains to the west and Panské poles ( Mr. Field ), Hanicka ( Hännchen ) and Údolíčko ( Liebenthal ) in the northwest. Across the border are located on the left bank of Wild Eagle Niemojów in the north and in the south west Lesica.

History

Batzdorf was created as the first settlement of the valley Erlitz 1539-1557 and settled with wooden rafters and squires. In 1557 it was first mentioned in a document with a Freirichtergut. It belonged to Hradec Kralove in Bohemia. Built in 1673 and St.. Maria Magdalena church, consecrated in 1746 was elevated to parish church.

1850 Batzdorf independent community and belonged to the District Commission Senftenberg. The elementary school was built in 1892 was initially dreiklassig. After the founding of Czechoslovakia in 1918, the school was zweiklassig continued and in addition established a Czech minority school. 1930 lived in the town of 301 inhabitants.

As a result of the Munich Agreement in 1938 Batzdorf annexed to the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Grulich. 1939 lived in the village of 845 people in 216 houses. After the Second World War, the German inhabitants were expelled.

Economic Development

The town developed into a location with many craftsmen and industrial operations. Were manufactured winter sports equipment that were shipped all over the world. Agricultural especially flax, oats, barley and rye were cultivated as well as cabbage and potatoes. In animal feed were initially turnips, later cultivated beets.

Attractions

  • Built in 1673 to Mary Magdalene Church in 1793 destroyed by lightning and rebuilt. According to a further destruction by lightning in 1906, it was rebuilt Freiherr von Senftenberg again through the patronage Mr. Oskar Parish, but received instead of the onion- shaped tower a pyramidal tower.
  • In the local situation Neratov is a Baroque pilgrimage church.
