Basolus
Basolus of Verzy (c. 555 in Limousin, † November 25 630 in Reims ), French Basle de Verzy, is a Catholic and Orthodox saints. He proselytized much of the Champagne and Lorraine. Over the life of the Basolus Adson, Abbot of Montier-en -Der, and Jean Mabillon reported in his text "Acta Sanctorum Ordinis Sancti St. Benedict " ( about the life of the saints of the Order of Saint Benedict ).
Life
After Basolus had heard from the Holy Remigius of Rheims, he went as a novice in the monastery, where the grave was this saint.
To put 575 Basolus as a hermit in the forest of Verzy. Later he moved as a missionary through the east of present-day France and built the road again chapels. Even today, several place names in the Holy Basolus:

- Dombasle -en- Xaintois
- Dombasle- devant -Darney
- Dombasle -sur -Meurthe
- Saint- Baslemont
At the age Basolus returned to the Champagne, where he died on 25 November 630.
Worship
At the grave of Basolus several miracles to be done. A monastery was built on the site, which existed until the French Revolution.
Today the Holy Basolus is largely forgotten.
