Dombasle -sur -Meurthe ( German, obsolete: Dombasel at the Mörthe ) is a commune with 9959 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
Dombasle is located at the confluence of the Meurthe and Sânon, 17 kilometers east of Nancy and 15 kilometers west of Luneville.
Origin of the name
The name of the place goes back to the Holy Basolus of Verzy (French: Saint Basle ).

1873 here a work of the Solvay Group was founded, which is now the largest Sodaherstellern world heard and the company esco runs this production facility for the production of salt.
