Xirocourt
Xirocourt is a commune with 457 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Nancy, for Canton Haroué and community association La Pipistrelle.
Geography
The community Xirocourt lies about 30 km south of Nancy, on the left bank of the Madon. To the south the boundary to the Vosges is located just four kilometers from Xirocourt. The landscape is hilly and the Saintois achieved in the Colline de Sion ( with the tower signal de Vaudémont ) southwest of Xirocourt 541 meters above the sea.
Neighboring communities of Xirocourt are (clockwise, starting from the north ): Tantonville, Affracourt, Vaudeville, Vaudigny, Lebeuville, Germonville, Bralleville, Jevoncourt, Saint- Firmin and Praye.

Economy and infrastructure
The inhabitants of Xirocourt living from agriculture (especially livestock ), from small craft shops or commute to the nearby industrial areas of the Mosel valley. In the village there is a nursery that specializes among other things, bamboo trees and rare species of trees.
Traffic
The leading through the village street department 904 connects Xirocourt to the southeast of the city with the charm and the National Road 57 (Metz -Nancy- Epinal ), and to the northwest by town Vézelise. More road connections are available to Mirecourt and Haroué. The nearest railway station is located in the neighboring municipality of Saint- Firmin on the railway line Nancy- Mirecourt - Merrey.
