Dombasle-en-Xaintois
Dombasle -en- Xaintois is a small village with 120 inhabitants of Lorraine ( effective 1st January 2011), the arrondissement Neufchâteau the Department Vosges in northeastern France. It belongs to the canton of Mirecourt.
Geography
The street village Dombasle -en- Xaintois halfway between Epinal and Neufchâteau located south of the Xaintois, a plateau that ( a tributary of the Meuse ) and Madon separates the basins of the rivers Vair ( tributary of the Mosel) each other.
Neighboring communities of Dombasle -en- Xaintois are Totainville and Oëlleville in the north, Rouvres -en- Xaintois in the east and southeast, and Menil -en- Xaintois in the West.
History
Its name is attributed to the Holy Basolus of Verzy (French Basle de Verzy ), the missionary large parts of Lorraine.
The area around Dombasle belonged to the dominion of the Count of Toul, from the 13th century to the Duchy of Lorraine, and finally, since 1766 under the Vienna peace with France.

Economy and infrastructure
The Agriculture, Forestry continues to play an important role in Dombasle and environment. The houses of some 50 kilometers south of Nancy typical street village clustered along the secondary road 166 that leads from Epinal Mirecourt after about Neufchâteau and ten kilometers west of the Autoroute A31 crosses Dombasle ( Beaune- Metz- Luxembourg ).
