The Bass Highway is a highway in the southern Australian state of Victoria. It connects the South Gippsland Highway south of Lang Lang with the Strzelecki Highway in Leongatha, which is again on the South Gippsland Highway.

Course

Approx. 3 km south of Lang Lang, the road branches off to the south from the South Gippsland Highway ( M420 ) and succeeds on the eastern shore of Western Port. The first 9 km are still four lanes, then the road is two lanes. The following section of road to the south provides the access to the two islands in the Western Port, Phillip French Iceland and Iceland.

Shortly after the last branch from the road bends to the southeast and leads to Wonthaggi and Inverloch. Add to Inverloch Venus Bay, the Bass Highway turns to the northeast inland and reached at Leongatha again the South Gippsland Highway ( A440 ). His sequel to the northeast is the Strzelecki Highway ( B460 ).
