Baudette is a small town ( with a status of "City" ) and the administrative seat of Lake of the Woods County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, Baudette had 1106 inhabitants.
Geography
Baudette is located in northern Minnesota on the south bank of the Rainy River, which forms the border with Canada. The town is located at 48 ° 42'45 " north latitude, 94 ° 36'00 " west longitude and extending over 12.07 km ², spread over 11.01 km ² land and 1.06 km ² water surface.
Neighboring cities of Baudette are Rainy River on the opposite bank of the river of the same name in the Canadian province of Ontario, Clementson (12,9 km to the east ) and Williams ( 27.5 km to the west ).

Traffic
In Baudette Minnesota State Routes 11 and 172 meet together and run as the main road through town and then over the Rainy River International Bridge to Canada. All other roads are subordinate and partly unpaved roadways and within local roads.
In parallel to MN 11 runs a railway line of the Canadian National Railway through the city and across another bridge to Canada.
In the north of the urban area of Baudette Baudette International Airport is the a small airfield.
