Beitun (北屯 市, Beitun Shì, Uighur: بەيتۈن ) is a 28 December 2011 founded, directly by the territorial Government ( and not like other county-level cities of the district level ) under -standing county-level city in the north of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People 's Republic of China. It is, embraced by government district Altay, Altay between the city and the county Burultokay. Your administrative area has an area of 910.5 square kilometers and a population of 76,300 ( 2011). The area of the new town Beitun consists of the formerly belonging to the city of Altay Large village Beitun and the Production and Construction Corps No. 183, 187 and 188, which were previously the circle Burultokay together.
At the community level, Beitun is composed of a large village and three Production and Construction Corps. These are:
- Greater community Beitun (北 屯镇);
- Production and Construction Corps No. 183 (兵团 一八三 团);
- Production and Construction Corps No. 187 (兵团 一 八七 团);
- Production and Construction Corps No. 188 (兵团 一 八八 团).
