Belinda Bencic

Belinda Bencic ( slovak: Belinda Benčičová; born March 10, 1997 Flawil ) is a Swiss tennis player.

Life

Her grandfather Ivan Benčič played in the first team of the best Slovak ice hockey club HC Slovan Bratislava. Belinda Bencic is Swiss-Slovak dual citizen. Trained it is by her father Ivan, who is said to have planned their career even before their birth.

Career

Bencic trained for six months in the academy of Nick Bollettieri and got their tennis training at Melánie Molitorová, mother of Martina Hingis. In February 2012, she starred in Granges- Paccot against Australia for the first time in Switzerland in Fed Cup. In September 2012, she won the ITF tournament in Sharm El -Sheikh, both in single as well as double, a week later, she won the tournament again in singles. On 8 June 2013, it won the French Open junior interior with a playoff victory over Antonia Lottner (6:1, 6:3 ). Four weeks later, she won the junior title at Wimbledon as she Taylor Townsend defeated in the finals on July 6, 2013, 4:6, 6:1 and 6:4. In December 2013, it was named the ITF Junior World Champion.

Bencic qualified for the main draw of the 2014 Australian Open, where she was off in the first round, the oldest player of the tournament, Kimiko Date - Krumm. In the second round she lost to the set as number 4 and later tournament champion Li Na.
