The 112th French Open took place between June 9, 2013 in Paris, France, at the Stade Roland Garros on May 26.

Defender of the single were Rafael Nadal in the men's and Maria Sharapova in the women. In the men's doubles were Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor, in women's doubles Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, the defending champion. Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi were the defending champions in the mixed doubles.

Rafael Nadal successfully defend his title from last year against his compatriot David Ferrer, bringing the total collected his eighth title at Roland Garros. In the women secured for the second time after 2002 Serena Williams against last year's winner Marija Sharapova for the title. In men's doubles, the Bryan twins Bob and Mike won against Michaël Llodra and Nicolas Mahut and in women's doubles defeated Ekaterina Makarova and Jelena Wesnina last year's winner Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci pairing. In mixed the pairing Lucie Hradecká and Frantisek Cermak prevailed.

In the juniors, the Swiss Belinda Bencic won against the German Antonia Lottner the title and the final of the Junior won Christian Garin of Chile against Alexander Zverev of Germany.

In the German-speaking world, the tournament was mainly transmitted by euro sport.
