Title defenders were Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi, who entered this year with different partners. However, they both resigned from each already in the first round. In the final, the two Czech Lucie Hradecka and Frantisek Cermak Kristina Mladenovic and Daniel Nestor defeated in France from Canada with 1:6, 6:4 and [ 10:5 ]. For Cermak it was the first Grand Slam singles victory of her career, Hradecká had won the French Open in 2011 in women's doubles with Andrea Hlaváčková.
