Defender of the single were Rafael Nadal in the men's and Francesca Schiavone in the women. In the men's doubles were Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic, in women's doubles Serena Williams and Venus Williams, the defending champion. Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic were the defending champions in the mixed doubles.
In the men won Rafael Nadal with his sixth single success could equal the record of Sweden Björn Borg, who also boast six individual victories.
