Caroline Wozniacki defended her title successfully against Czech Petra Cetkovská. Cetkovská who had to qualify first for the main draw, defeated on their way to the final, among others, the two Top Ten players Marion Bartoli and Na Li In Double Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik competed for the title defense, but both were due to illness or injury not compete in the quarterfinals. Chuang -jung Chuang and Wolha Hawarzowa defeated in the final of the two Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci.
