2011 Bank of the West Classic

The Bank of the West Classic 2011 was a tennis tournament, which was played at Stanford from 23 to 31 July. It was parallel to the tournament of Washington, DC instead.

Defending champion in the individual was Wiktoryja Azarenka, in a double, it was Lindsay Davenport and Liezel Huber. Davenport did not occur in this year, however. The individual competition won Serena Williams 7-5, 6-1 against Marion Bartoli and celebrated her 38 WTA titles. The double ended with a clear 6:1, 6:3 over Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond to the pairing Wiktoryja Azarenka and Maria Kirilenko.

The field of individual petition consisted of 28 players, double that of the petition of 16 pairs. The four top-ranked players in single each received a bye into the second round.
