2013 Proton Malaysian Open

The Malaysian Open 2013 was a tennis tournament, which was held in Kuala Lumpur from 21 to 29 September 2013. It was part of the ATP World Tour in 2013 and was held in the indoor hard courts. In the same week the Thailand Open was played in Bangkok, who scored just like the Malaysian Open to Category ATP World Tour 250.

Defender of the single was the Argentine Juan Monaco, in a double Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares. The final of the individual competition won by the Portuguese João Sousa, who thus won the first ATP title in his career. He defeated Julien Benneteau, who could not convert in the first career singles title and his ninth finals. The double competition won Eric Butorac and Raven Klaasen.

The field of the individual competition consisted of 28 players, double that of the competition from 16 pairs. The four top-seeded player in singles each got a bye into the second round.
