Reviews

" " Berlin - Alexanderplatz " lives primarily from the great performance Heinrich George and stands out as a mirror image of contemporary Berlin. However, a comparison with the literary text, the film can withstand in any way, even if it on the canvas rescues some elements of the novel across. "

" George plays the beaver head as a good-natured kid stick people, who can not cope with the intrigues of his environment. [ ... ] The camera always looks back to the hustle and transmission of the city, [ ... ] here wins in their simplicity rather melodramatic story credibility. "
