Beto (Portuguese footballer born 1982)

António Alberto Bastos Pimparel ( born May 1, 1982 in Loures ), better known as Beto, is a Portuguese football goalkeeper, who is under contract with SC Braga and is in the squad the Portuguese national team.

Career

From the Sporting Youth arise, he was there in his first professional years, only the third goalkeeper, came in his first season at no use in the first team. Therefore, he was loaned in 2002 for one season to the unterklassige team of Casa Pia AC. After several changes in the club Liga de Honra, the 2nd Portuguese League, he managed the Leixões SC 2006/ 07 promotion to the highest Portuguese league. For the 2009/10 season, FC Porto signed him for four years. The transfer fee was a high six-figure sum. In 2011 he was loaned to a contract until July 2013 to the Romanian first division side CFR Cluj. There he won the championship in the 2011/12 season. For the season 2012/13 he moved to SC Braga, in January 2013 he was loaned to FC Sevilla.

National

At his first international match in the Portuguese national team came Beto on 10 June 2009 during a friendly match against Estonia (score 0-0). As a goalkeeper of FC Porto at the end of the 2009/10 season he was nominated for the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa by coach Carlos Queiroz arrived there but to no use. His second international match played Beto in advance of the 2012 European Championship against Macedonia. During the tournament, he was a member of the Portuguese squad as the third goalkeeper.
