Renovation since 1989

Since 1989 (converted ) ten million Euros have been invested in construction projects. The money has come together through donations and big sponsors. Funds from the state historic preservation and special agents from the country included in the Benedictine abbey. The Diocese of Rottenburg and the Archdiocese of Freiburg have granted funds for the monastery, although it is subject to neither of the two dioceses.

There have been renovated including 770 windows and 8,900 square feet of roof. Year after year compact measures were taken and completed in attack. Thus, the building committee began in 1989, the south side of the church facade to renovate the church square and the cemetery wall, 1992, the local church west facade, 1997, the church roof, 1998, the archive Beuronese art and 2000, the historic wooden bridge. The new library building was 2001. 2003 interior fittings were made in Refektoriumsbau. In 2006, the economy building in Saint Maurus and 2008 Klerikatsgebäude was redeveloped. 2009 was at the power plant Saint Maurus and the north facade of the church from the church entrance to the Lady Chapel. The Building Committee has been dissolved in April 2009. 2009, the relics of the original Baroque façade design were found in the rehabilitation field. 2010 was completed in the Northeast region with the choir after 20 years, the renovation of the entire historic church facade. It damaged areas were repaired in plaster, renewed every window sills made of sandstone, the historic church windows were given a two- glazing and new paint applied. For practical as well as from historic preservation reasons it was not possible to produce the baroque facade again. Shaping the church with Beuronese - style facade on two and the baroque facade on one side, out of the question, and also so again provided the other two sides shortly after the redesign of the facade with a new livery, would have been not economically. For this reason, an earthy hue now moves the entire monastery complex. Also in 2010, the area of the historic gate was renovated at a cost of 380,000 euros. This intermediate area between the historic complex, the south wing and the later built guest wing was spanned by only one rotten wooden roof and an equally dilapidated wood and glass transition. The old roof and over the old gate leading timber glass transition has been replaced. Now the baroque gable facade of the south wing is fully visible again. The area in which the gate is housed today, emerged only in the 1950s after the fire in the economy part and is controversial in terms of its architectural quality among the professionals. 2011 joined the facade work on the actual monastic buildings between the church and the library.
