Bill Crothers

Bill Crothers (actually William Frederick Crothers, born December 24, 1940 in Markham, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian middle-distance runners and sprinters.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he won the 800m in his personal best time of 1:45,6 min the silver medal behind the New Zealander Peter Snell ( 1:45,1 min ) and before Kenyans Wilson Kiprugut ( 1:45,9 min). About 400 meters he reached the semifinals.
