"For us, reconciliation means respect. Respect for a culture and that has lived on this land long before the colonization of a people. The indigenous peoples are united in a deep way with this country, as it can not be non- Indigenous people; and we must respect the country they defineirt as a people, and it defines their culture. The truth, education and understanding are to respect and reconciliation. A tour like this is bound to stimulate discussion and raise questions, and to open the minds and hearts of the people; we should be able to give people a different view of how they perceive the indigenous history and see the current indigenous struggle. It is a beautiful culture right here on our doorstep. You should embraced and respected - we can then recognize the unity with her. "
