BMW N63

The BMW N63 is a gasoline engine of BMW and an evolution of the BMW N62, which has its origin in the BMW M60 from the 90s.

The engine has " TwinPower Turbo technology ", these are the two N63 twin-scroll turbocharger that sit between the cylinder banks of the V8 engine and have shared Abgaseinströmöffnungen. The intake valves are located on the outside of the engine, which allows a more compact design. Furthermore, the motor with two water-cooled intercoolers and direct injection is fitted.

Alpina N63

  • A modified version of the N63 from Alpina B5, B6, B7 Biturbo Alpina used in the current based on the BMW 550i, 650i and 750i. Here, the engine delivers 373 kW at 5500min -1 and 700 Nm between 3000-4750 min -1.
