Boaco Department

Boaco is one of 15 departments in Nicaragua.

The capital is the city of Boaco Boaco. It was written in 1938 as part of the department Chontales. The department has an area of ​​4244 km ² with 171,000 inhabitants ( 2006 calculation ), which corresponds to a population density of about 40 inhabitants / km ².
