Boaz Myhill

Glyn Oliver Myhill ( born November 9, 1982 in Modesto, California), Boaz Myhill called, is a Welsh football player with American roots.

Career

Aston Villa

Boaz Myhill came at the age of 12 years to Aston Villa.

In January 2002, the then 19 -year-old signed a loan contract with Stoke City, where he served as a substitute for Neil Cutler, the goalkeeper. However, he was recalled after one week of Aston Villa.

After the short trip to Stoke City, he was awarded for three months at Bristol City, where he was also intended as a substitute and so was not a single use.

Myhill gave his first professional game in November 2002, in the First Division when he was on loan at Bradford City. However, this game was anything but good for Myhill, he conceded five goals against Sheffield United.

After three months at Bradford City, he was awarded for three months at Macclesfield Town. Macclesfield manager David Moss was keen to extend the loan period, but he was brought back in late 2003 by Aston Villa and finally awarded to Stockport County.

Hull City

After a long odyssey, Myhill was eventually sold to Hull City. In Myhill Hull City manager Peter Taylor was from a positive perspective predicts. Hull City accepted 29 July 2010 a £ 1.5 million offers for Myhill of West Bromwich Albion. Officially Myhill joined the newly promoted Premier League on 30 July 2010.

On 29 July 2011 Boaz Myhill was transferred for a season on loan to Birmingham City.

Internationally

Although Myhill was born in the United States, he played for the England youth team, thus creating the leap into the national America in hope.

In early 2006, offered the possibility Myhill for Wales to play, but Myhill rejected this offer for family reasons from. On 17 March 2008 he was first appointed to the Welsh national team, but did not play. Instead, he was prepared for the U -21 to help the team in the qualifying stage for the European Championship. Family

Boaz Myhill was born in Modesto, California. His father is from the U.S. and his mother came from the Welsh town of Llangollen. As Myhill was a year old his family moved to England. He went there in the Marches School in Oswestry, which lies on the border with Wales. During his youth he was only midfielder and played for the local club Oswestry Boys Club.

His nickname Hebrew Boaz comes from the fact that his parents went gladly to Israel. Actually, she wanted to name her son so, but were prevented from relative thereof. Nevertheless, the name remained liable as nickname.
