Borger is a city in Hutchinson County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States of America.

Geography

The city is located in North Texas, the Texas Panhandle, about 70 km northeast of Amarillo, at the junction of the Texas State Routes 136, 152 and 207, about 50 miles from Oklahoma is removed and has a total area of 22.6 km ², being 0.24 km ² water surface are. History

Founded and named the city was in 1926 according to AP " Ace" Borger, one originating from Missouri and then known already in Oklahoma land speculators, along with his partner John R.
