Borough of Fareham

Fareham is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Hampshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Fareham, where lives more than half the population; significant sights are Portchester, Stubbington and Titchfield.

The boundaries of the district dates back to 1932 when the villages of Crofton, Port Chester, Sarisbury and Titchfield ( who had previously all part of the Rural District Fareham ) came to town Fareham. The district was elevated to a Borough in 1972.
