Borys Gudziak

Boris Andrij Gudziak (* November 24, 1960 in Syracuse, United States) is a priest of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

Life

The Auxiliary Bishop of Lviv, Ljubomyr Husar MSU, ordained him a deacon on 14 August 1998 and the Bishop of Ivano- Frankivsk, Sofron Stefan Mudry, OSBM, ordained him a priest on 26 November 1998. He was from 2002 to 2012 Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University. He has written over 50 works on Church history.

On July 21, 2012, he was called by Pope Benedict XVI. appointed Titular Bishop of Apostolic Exarch of Carcabia and France and it was introduced in the Office on 2 December of the same year. The Major Archbishop of Kyiv - Halych, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, consecrated him on 26 August of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Ihor Voznyak C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Lviv, and Hlib Lonchyna MSU, Apostolic Exarch of Great Britain. With the elevation to the eparchy on January 19, 2013, was appointed as Bishop of Saint Vladimir le Grand de Paris.
