Boško Janković

Bosko Jankovic ( born March 1, 1984 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football player. The midfielder plays for Hellas Verona in Serie A and is the current national team of Serbia.

Career

His footballing career started Bosko Jankovic at FK Jedinstvo Ub, where other national team of Serbia Dušan Basta or as Aleksandar Luković began their career. After good performances, he joined with 16 years in the youth of Red Star Belgrade. At the same time he also ran in 1999 for the U- 16 national team of Yugoslavia and was captain of the team. After he was elected in a U-16 tournament teams in Ráckeve, Hungary 's top scorer and the best player of the tournament, scouts from Arsenal, Ajax and Sporting Lisbon were aware of him. Janković, however, said he still wants to play for Red Star Belgrade and hopes to jump into the first team.

2003 Bosko Jankovic signed a five- year contract for the first team of Red Star Belgrade. In 2004, he managed with Serbia and Montenegro in the U-21 European Championship in Germany reach the final where they lost 0:3 to Italy. In the U-21 European Championships in Portugal in 2006 they failed in the semifinals just against Ukraine ( 5-4 p).

Janković moved in August 2006 for the sum of three million euros from Red Star Belgrade to RCD Mallorca. His first goal for the national team of Serbia succeeded him on 28 March 2007 at the European Championship qualifier against Portugal. He scored the equalizer for a 1-1 draw. The Serb was in the 2006/07 season with nine goals as the highest-scoring players from Mallorca. For the season 2007/ 08 Bosko Jankovic moved for eight million euros to U.S. Palermo in Italy. After only one year at Palermo Janković was awarded to Genoa, the right to be moved after the loan on a purchase option.

In the 2009/10 season Janković completed only three league appearances for Genoa, as it turned out almost the entire season due to multiple injuries. In March 2010 he retired shortly after his comeback again an injury, which is expected to participate in the finals of the World Cup will cost him 2010.
