Run Off ( Boys) is an American film drama directed by Stacy Cochran from the year 1996. Stacy Cochran wrote the screenplay based on the short story by James Salter Twenty Minutes.
Action
John Baker Jr lives in a boarding school and is nearing graduation. He finds one day a unconscious rider, who had an accident. Baker cares about them and learn to know them better. He learns that her name is Patty Vare and that she is on the run from the police.
Since Baker violated some rules of the boarding school, he should be suspended. Vare submerges when the police asks for it.
Reviews
James Berardinelli wrote on ReelView, the filmmakers want to make the public believe that the film is a love story. However, run-off does not imply a lot of emotion and will assist " apathetic ". The audience remained at a distance to the characters for which there do not feel anything. The film is so " cumbersome " and " stupid " that one could hardly believe it.
The lexicon of international film wrote that the film was a " straight narrated Youth Film ", the " realistic in view of the boarding school environment and is sensitive to the approach of the young " was. The good performances of the main characters would secure "passable entertainment."
